Description
In an old witchcraft custom, Rosemary is burned to purify a room or ritual space before magickal workings.
A bit of folklore:
Although Rosemary is generally known as a Masculine/Solar herb in modern times, the feminine association was stronger in days past. There was an old saying of, “Where Rosemary grows, the woman rules.” Which basically meant that Rosemary would only flourish in a garden where the lady of the house wore the pants.
Rosmarinus officinalis, commonly known as Rosemary, is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant, evergreen, needle-like leaves and white, pink, purple, or blue flowers, native to the Mediterranean region.
