Description
Brown Aragonite Tumbled Stones
Brown Aragonite has a rhombic crystal system and is in the mineral class of carbonates. It’s coloring varies from white, pink, yelow, light green to brown. Each color seems to have its own unique characteristics. It can be formed both either a hydrothermal or a sedimentary process. It can also be formed as a sinter (a hard siliceous or calcareous deposit) in hot springs or through deposits of inorganic calcium in shallower waters. Many times Aragonite will eventually transform into Calcite but this takes 1000’s and 1000’s of years. It received it’s name from the area of its discovery in Aragon, Spain.
