Purpurite Facilitates a Deliberate Connection with Your Spirit Guides

Purpurite has a higher purpose

Purpurite is a symbol of liberation, intuition, and spirituality, and is often referred to as the “Stone of Freedom.” Its spiritual significance is also seen as representing abundance, success, and growth by many.

I will admit I have overlooked this one for a while. I’ve discovered that was my loss and perhaps I should have had some interest sooner. But, we all arrive at new levels of ‘knowing’ exactly when we’re supposed to. So, I guess, I ‘discovered’ it right on time.

Chakras 6 and 7 Symbols

6th, Brow or Third Eye Chakra, Color of dark blue, Sanskrit: Vishuddha
and
7th, Crown Chakra, Color of white and/or violet, Sanskrit: Sahasrara

Purpurite facilitates the opening of the 7th chakra while connecting it to the base chakra, promoting unobstructed evolution and grounding. This energetic transformation propels individuals into a state of functional reality. Additionally, Purpurite has the ability to activate the 6th chakra, enabling experiences of heightened consciousness in the spiritual realms. It emanates a protective psychic energy, cleansing the auric field and guarding against negative entities and attachments.

Crystal System…

Purpurite is in the Orthorhombic crystal system. It is a manganese iron phosphate mineral that typically forms on the surface of Triphylite (a group of anhydrous phosphates) due to extensive oxidation. It can also be found in crystallized mass formations independently.

It was discovered in 1905 by L.C. Graton and W.T. Schaller. Purpurite derives its name from the Latin word “purpura,” reflecting its distinctive purple color. While the most renowned Purpurite specimens originate from Namibia, it is also found in locations such as France, Western Australia, and North Carolina, USA.

Application…

Purpurite can be worn or carried. I found really wonderful effects from meditating with this one. It provided a soothing energy that seemed to wrap all around me and give a big hug.

Spiritually…

Purpurite serves as a stone of initiation. When utilized in meditation, it facilitates a deliberate connection with your spirit guides, enhancing the clarity of their advice. Placing Purpurite near the body during sleep supports the separation of the astral body from the physical, enabling conscious awareness during and after this process. In subsequent dreams, you may find yourself in a space where you are conscious of your angelic guides.

Emotionally…

Purpurite can motivate you to become more proactive if you have self-imposed limitations or self-effacing tendencies. It will ease victim and martyr complexes and also provides relief from panic attacks. This stone is effective in releasing stress, calming the nerves, and facilitating the letting go of worry and anxiety, allowing you to navigate the stormy times of life with grace.

Mentally…

Purpurite serves as a potent psychological and psychic tool, fostering positive adaptation to change. It effectively dismantles old habits or attitudes that bind you to the past, dispelling feelings of despair. It will encourage a persistent search for the underlying reality beneath surface appearances. For those who use oracles like the tarot or I Ching, it will enhance clarity in interpreting the received guidance. It will expose the deceptions of others while preventing conscious deception on your part. If unconscious deception has been occurring, Purpurite brings an uncomfortable awareness, often leading to the cessation of the behavior.

Physically…

Purpurite promotes the well-being of your sinuses, eyes, ears, and facial health. Additionally, it’s a great aid in harmonizing the left and right hemispheres of the brain. It also helps the function of the whole nervous and skeletal systems of the body.

Zodiac Affinity…

Purpurite, while beneficial to all signs, has special affinities with Virgo. Its Element is Earth, Planets are Jupiter and Neptune and its energy is Receptive.

Folklore…

Since it’s known history is just over a hundred years old I was not finding much old folklore. I did find that according to a legend, it was believed to have been formed from the tears of ancient goddesses. These goddesses wept tears of compassion and empathy, which transformed into the beautiful crystals we know today.
